One of Us May Not Live Through It!

My dear husband and I have been married for almost 17 years.  It's a typical marriage...ups, downs, kids, stress, happiness, good times and bad.  No big complaints thus far.

However, we are in the process of moving, and I'm on the verge of killing him.  We have moved 3 times before, and I did most of the packing, etc.  It was a pain in the a$$, but I had a method, and it got done.  This move is proving to be a bit different-he's helping.  (Not really)

Our new home is ready to move in, but I haven't had the time to clean it yet.  He keeps telling me the carpets were just cleaned, and yesiknowthat, but I am not moving in to someone elses dirt!  He just doesn't get it.  Honey, go to work, and let me do the cleaning/ packing/moving.  Yes, I will probably bitch about it, but I will like you SO MUCH BETTER!  Ugh!!

What I Wore Wednesday

Okay, this weeks edition of WIWW is weak at best!  I had alot of "gym clothes" days...I never took a pic of myself on Easter, and the ones I do have are uber-casual.  But-they're all I've got, so here goes!

I wore this running errands, and to a Lacrosse Tournament.
Top: Style & Co. from Macy's
Skinny Cargos: Seven from TJ Maxx

Again-uber-casual...just a quick throw on outfit for running errands, and taxiing kids!
Top: Dillards...couple of years ago.
Relax Cargos-Gap...again, a couple of years ago!

So that is all I have for this week-pretty dull, eh?  I MUST try to step it up next week!  But on a good note, I finally figured out how to edit in Picasa, and save to my computer.  Yes, I am THAT slow!

What I Wore Wednesday-Florida Style!

Since I have decided to do this post, I have come to realize that I spend WAY TOO MUCH time in my gym clothes!  I am at the gym every morning except for Thurs., and Sun., so I'm in gym clothes for a good chunk of the day.  I have been making a conscious effort to dress when I'm not at the gym-but some days, all I'm doing is driving the kids back and forth to whatever activity, and really, why get dressed up for that??

Usually on Thursday mornings, I clean and believe me when I say you don't want to see me in my cleaning get up!  I did have some errands to run after cleaning last Thursday, and this is what I threw on:
The tank is a cheapie from Target, and the shorts are from Nilla Shields.  Not loving this outfit!!
Friday was another gym clothes day, but I did manage to put on jeans a cute T when I finally got home.  LOVE this T-shirt....it's me!!  I got it in a Winery gift shop.

I wore this to Mass on Sunday.  The dress is from CAbi, and the jacket is from Macy's.

Here is a shot of the dress sans the jacket.  The dress is super comfy, and can also be worn as a long skirt!
Monday was a gym day, but I did change for some errands and to go to the Girls Varsity Lacrosse Playoffs. (They won...Go Indians!)  The skinny capris are from Banana Republic, the black tank is Converse One Star from Target.  I love this top, and wish the ruffle along the neck line showed up better.  The shoes are by Bruno Menegalli, bought at a local shoe boutique.
Man, I need a better camera....or a good photo editor!! Someone help!

I love these shoes!  They are so comfy-I can spend hours in them and my feet don't hurt!!
Tuesday was just like any other day in my world-more errands, more kids to shuffle to and fro.  I did it all in this dull get-up.
Favorite old jeans from The Gap, white Tank top from Express.  Again, DULL!!, but I did try to jazz it up with this DIY neclace that I found on   ...lovemaegan

This was sooo easy to make---the scarf was from Target, beads form Michaels.  SUPER SIMPLE!  And the next photo would be of my favorite Jack Rogers sandals.  I have about 8 pair of these, in different colors.  They are my favorite summer dress up sandal...even make jeans and a tank look a bit classier!

So, that's it gals!  Looking back at these pics...a few conclusions:
1. Still need a new camera or photoshop
2. Still need to accessorize more.....
3.  Definitely need to GET OUT OF THE GYM CLOTHES!

Leigh

What I Wore Wednesday

***I did this post to so I could link up with http://www.thepleatedpoppy.com/ who originally came up with this idea.  By the time I got the post up, the link was closed!!  Guess I'll have to be quicker, (& better dressed) next week!***

So here it is, my first What I Wore Wednesday post!  Before going on, you need to know that I only got 2 outfits out of this, because I spent ALOT of time at the gym last week, and didn't bother to put on "real" clothes.
What I learned-1.  I need to find somewhere in my house to snap full pics of myself-the mirror thing is just not cutting it!  2.  A better camera would probably be a good idea.  3.  I have crappy mirrors in my house, and need a good full length one.

I wore this outfit to a BBQ benefit on Saturday.  (I was WAY overdressed!
 Grey Rosette Open Vest-Stein Mart
Lucky Brand Shorts-TJ Maxx
Not a great shot, but it's all I've got!

Sunday Mass-Whole Outfit from Target!  Mossimo Cardi and white jeans.  Shoes by Guess-pics below!  I love them, and they are suprisingly comfortable!
I know the full body shots are BAD, but hey, at least I got some cute ones of the shoes! ;)
Happy Hump Day, Ladies!!

iPhone Appsession: Fooducate

I have a serious addiction to my iPhone-I can't go anywhere without it-REALLY!!  I love that "there's an app for that", and I'm always on the lookout for new apps to play around this.  I have an app obsession-thus the title "appsession".  (Patting myself on the back for that one...damn, I'm good!)

I was reading an quick blurb in a magazine at the gym one day, and it recommended  Fooducate.  I downloaded the app, and I LOVE IT!  It is a great app for anyone who wants to, or does eat a healthy diet.  Basically, you pick a food you would normally eat, scan the barcode with the app, and the food gets a grade.  The app will give you better alternatives to that food, and tell you why it received the grade it did.

For example, I scanned Quaker Oatmeal Squares cereal.  I eat this often and my kids love it.  But it got a B- because of it's sugar content, and "controversial artificial colors".  Some of the alternatives for it were Grape Nuts (A-), or Raisin Bran (B+).

You can even do a product comparison by scanning 2 different barcodes.

Check it out-it's a great app!!

Got any good ones to share with me?

No, I'm not Dead....

Talk about Blog neglect, my last post way WAY over 6 months ago.  Oh well, I'm back now, and hopefully will shorten the time between posts!  I've been meaning to come back to this, just haven't had the time.  So if I'm going to blog again, I'm probably going to be a late night blogger.  My days are just too busy with kids and a part time job.

Speaking of jobs, I did quit my other part time job at The Vitamin Shoppe.  THANK YOU GOD for allowing me to do that-I hated that job, couldn't stand my coworkers, and seriously missed my family. I did learn a huge lesson though-a mother of 3 has no business working retail.  The hours were torture!

So, what am I going to do with this blog?  When I started it, I had all these hopes of sponsors, going to big blog events, etc.  But let's face it-that just won't happen.  So here it is, MY blog, where I will come to dump all the nonsense in my brain, post fun things about my family, maybe even an exercise tip or two.  I'm looking forward to getting this blog back into gear!!

What Was I Thinking?

I'm sure you've heard the expression, "I need this like I need another hole in my head."  Well, I've said that to myself about 465 times in the last 2 days.

What was I thinking when I said yes to this?

This is Salter, an 8 month old ??labradoddle?? maybe??  Honestly, I don't know, I'm just guessing.  He belongs to some friends who are away for 2 weeks.  They had a dog sitter (another friend of ours), who was going to take care of him-or so they thought.
Dogsitter came by late Wed. night-(the day Salters family left) for some reason, and told me he felt bad that he wasn't able to get back to the dog until after 6pm THE NEXT DAY.  I resisted the urge to strangle him, asked for the keys to the house, and said I would let the dog out in the morning and afternoon.  He said the family had said he could just stay at the house while they were gone-but he felt funny doing that.  (Then why the f did you agree to watch the dog, dumbass?)
Anyway-ToolTime and I could not let this dog sit in a crate all day long without being let out, so we took him home.  The kids are home everyday-so they have been recruited to help out!

What was I thinking?  In addition to that-I've got this:

With 3 dogs in the house, it feels like a doggie daycare.
Honestly-I need this like I need another hole in my head!
